How do I buy tickets?
There are 3 Ways to Buy Tickets for upcoming shows at Minglewood Hall. Online: by visiting www.minglewoodhall.com; In person: Box Office at 1555 Madison; By phone: 901.312.6058 – Box Office hours are Mon-Friday 11am – 3pm or 11am-9pm on show days. *Beware of third party ticketing websites. While most of them sell legitimate tickets, you will likely pay more for your ticket.
What is Will Call?
Will call is an option you can select when you order your tickets online or over the phone. This option will allow you to pick up your tickets at Minglewood Hall Box Office on the day of the show or any other time during the box office hours.
What’s up with the service fee at the box office and/or the fees online?
Most (if not all) of the ticket money goes to the bands, which have high overhead/travel costs of their own. The service fee covers part of the overhead costs involved in staffing and running a box office. It is intended to help cover the costs of labor, ticket stock, ticketing software fees, credit card fees, phone charges, box office equipment, etc. We make every effort to keep this service charge as low as possible.
Minglewood Hall has asked for the most competitive offer from many ticketing companies to achieve the best ticketing system with the lowest service charges. We find our convenience fees with Eventbrite to be some of the lowest in the country and significantly lower than their major competitors such as Ticketmaster.
The truth is we have to find a balance between a legitimate, proven ticketing company with a strong online operating system, the ability to do print-at-home and scanner systems plus a box office system that all works together. Eventbrite is a business, and the fees they charge are their only source of revenue to provide you and Minglewood Hall the above services.
Someone else is buying me tickets on-line, how can I pick them up at Will-Call?
If you are picking up someone else’s tickets, this is what you will need in order to pick them up:
- A photocopy of the original purchaser’s picture ID
- The last 4 digits of the credit card used to purchase the tickets
- The purchaser’s signature verifying that you may pick up their tickets, for example, “(Your name) has my permission to pick up my tickets.”
Preferably you should have all of this on the same page. And DON’T forget to bring your own ID!
I’m worried the show will sell out. Can you reserve me a ticket now and I’ll pay for it later?
Our ticketing system is set up to allow advance purchase of tickets at our box office. We are unable to “hold” tickets unless you purchase them first and leave them at will-call.
I’m supposed to be on the guest list…
If you are supposed to be on a guest list, be sure you know the name of the person who has put you on the list. It is also a good idea to confirm with that person that you are on the list 24 hours before the show. Valid ID is always required at Minglewood Hall, and it is essential when you are picking up tickets at Will-Call or from the Guest list. We are not responsible for mistakes made by band members, radio stations, or other promotional groups, although we will follow up on guest list questions to the best of our ability. The guest list is almost always at the box office window half an hour before doors open.
What’s your capacity?
Minglewood Hall: 1600 standing; 1000 auditorium seating; 650 table seating.
1884 Lounge: 400 standing; 220 seated
Do you provide seating?
Most shows are standing room only; however, we have some tables & chairs in the back of the room available first come / first served. For many shows, we have a Reserved Tables located to the back of the room. Reserved Tables can be purchased at our box office or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. Please call 901.312.6058 for more information. We also have some shows which are designated as partially or fully seated shows. For those shows, all seats are first come / first served unless otherwise noted on the show information page.
I’m not 18, can I attend a show with a parent?
First, check the age restrictions on the show listing. If a show is listed as ALL AGES, a person under 18 can attend with or without their parent/guardian. If a show is listed as AGES 16+ or 18+, then most of the time the answer to this question is “Yes!” if the parent is also present. For some shows, we have to be strict regarding the age limit so please email email@example.com to get consent to attend with a parent.
What kind of parking is available?
We have two paid parking lots on the southeast and southwest corners of Madison and Willett. There is also free street parking available on Madison, Willett, and Monroe.
Do you have a dress code?
Clothing is required; the style is up to you.
Do you have a coat check?
Yes, only during the cold season! It is located in the Atrium but not during all shows so check with the box office before you come.
Can I get food at the show?
Yes, our kitchen is open for every show.
Is there a bar inside?
Yes. We serve beer, wine, and liquor to patrons over 21 years old with valid ID.
What kind of ID do I need to drink at Minglewood?
U.S. photo driver license, photo ID card, and passport s are all acceptable forms of ID… as long as they are not expired.
Where can we smoke?
Smoking is not permitted at all inside Minglewood. We do have a smoking deck located to the right of the stage in the Hall and a patio located to the east side of the 1884 Lounge.
